We are honored to be a military community and invite you to join us in celebrating our veterans. On Saturday, Nov. 9, the Colorado Springs community will gather along Tejon Street for the In Their Honor Veterans Day Parade to salute our veterans and active-duty service members for their dedication to our nation’s freedoms. The Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC, along with our Military Affairs Council, are pleased to join other community partners in sponsoring this event. The parade will start at 11 a.m. and is expected to draw over 1,000 people. Participants will include veterans’ organizations, college and high school ROTC programs, active-duty military from all branches, and community members. Seven bands will perform, including those from Fort Carson and the U.S. Air Force Academy. We encourage you to dress in red, white, and blue, and bring a U.S. flag. We will also be handing out 7,000 handheld flags. The attire is casual, but active-duty military members will be in uniform. Make sure to dress warmly, as the parade will take place rain or shine.
