  • This afternoon, members of CSE’s team and the Ohio Credit Union League, had the pleasure of meeting with Fred Moore, a staff assistant for Congressman Michael Rulli's office. Between catching up on what CSE is doing in the community and hearing what the Congressman is working on in DC, we had an excellent chance to advocate for legislation that enables credit unions like CSE to continue to serve our members with fair, affordable and relevant financial products and services. Thank you, Fred and Congressman Rulli, for taking some time to have positive conversations about our community.

  • Spring is rolling out, and Summer is rolling in! These last few months our staff members have been busy not only in the branches but also out in the community! Check out a recap of some of the things CSE’s been up to lately. Financial Education Efforts: In just one month of having our financial counselor certified, we’ve started helping over 20 members on their journey to financial freedom! We held our first virtual workshop where we discussed getting out of debt. We held financial education presentations for students at Crenshaw Middle School, and Washington High School in Massillon, and partnered with CommQuest to teach budgeting workshops for their outpatient program. Community Events: In April staff volunteered a few hours on a gorgeous day on CSE’s adopted trail for Stark Parks. We handed out sunglasses at Perry's Exception Olympics Event. We held a coin drive that helped CSE donate over 7,000 meals to the food bank thanks to our generous members! We attended Perry High School’s second Career Exploration Fair. We supported Hartford Middle School teachers with some gift cards for their Teacher Appreciation Week festivities and we sponsored the TomTod Ideas Feast of Ideas event which supports their programming and encourages big ideas from middle-schoolers. Here's to a Summer just as busy as the Spring we’ve had!
