What is in the $61 billion aid package for Ukraine? How quickly will aid reach the front lines? What effect will this have on the war? #Ukraine would have lost the war without U.S. military aid. The $61 billion aid package for Ukraine will produce an immediate surge in deliveries of military equipment after they dramatically tapered off last fall. The resumption of U.S. military aid means that Ukrainian resistance will stiffen. It will be able to slow or stop Russian attacks and even launch its own limited local counterattacks. What happens after that is a crucial question for the Ukrainians. Learn more from Mark Cancian and Chris H. CSIS ISP is a constant source of reliable analysis on the threats and opportunities shaping U.S. security interests.
About us
For 50 years, the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) has developed practical solutions to the world’s greatest challenges. Today’s global landscape presents strategic opportunities that will define our future. As we celebrate this milestone, CSIS scholars are developing strategic insights and bipartisan policy solutions to help decision makers chart a course toward a better world. International Security Program (ISP) tackles one of the most robust and ambitious research agendas in the field. It covers conventional political-military issues, including defense strategy and policy, acquisition and industry, counterterrorism and homeland security, U.S. nuclear policy, WMD proliferation, defense budget analysis, missile defense, strategic futures, and security cooperation. ISP is also committed to addressing a growing range of nonmilitary issues defining U.S. foreign and security policy. Nonpartisan/bipartisan analysis of the ongoing defense and security challenges facing the nation provides Congress, the Executive branch, and industry the information needed to make tough decisions. ISP assembles top-level leaders and provides the platform for them to define critical issues and explain the impact nationally and globally. Follow us @CSIS_ISP

I sit down tomorrow, October 11, 2024 at 10:00 AM ET, with Rear Admiral (Retired) Mike Studeman to discuss his book, Might of the Chain: Forging Leaders of Iron Integrity. Hear him draw from personal stories -- in the middle of crises, from his childhood, and from his own successes and failures -- to share insights on leadership, how to inspire trust and team success. I also expect we'll discuss the profession of intelligence and strategic competition with China. Join us for this virtual event at Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

Audrey Schaffer and I wanted to share some ideas on American space priorities looking out over the next four years. The United States is the global leader in space - but we cannot rest on our laurels. China is trying to catch up and working to erode our edge in space. Please take a look at our thoughts on ways to maintain U.S. leadership in civil, commercial, and national security space. Thanks to SpaceNews for publishing this. https://lnkd.in/e6gQ8e_m
