Spotlight of the Month: We are excited to share more about our board members and their inspiring reasons for being a part of CSRP. This month, we shine a light on our Treasurer and Board Member, John Benson. We asked a few questions and these were his responses. 1. What do you have as a career and how long have you done it for?  Commercial Real Estate where I have gained 3.5 years of experience.  2. What inspired you to get involved with Colorado Springs Rising Professionals? My involvement with Colorado Springs Rising Professionals was inspired by a desire to connect with like-minded individuals and to foster professional development in our community. I saw an opportunity to contribute to the growth of emerging leaders and to support initiatives that promote networking, mentorship, and community engagement. 3. How has your experience as a board member shaped your career or personal growth? Serving as a board member has significantly enhanced my leadership skills and broadened my understanding of community dynamics. It has provided me with valuable networking opportunities and insights into the challenges and successes of other professionals, ultimately shaping my approach to collaboration and strategic thinking in my own career. 4. What do you love most about living and working in Colorado Springs? What I love most about living and working in Colorado Springs is the unique blend of a vibrant professional community and stunning natural beauty. The accessibility of outdoor activities encourages a balanced lifestyle, allowing for both relaxation and adventure. Additionally, the collaborative spirit among local businesses and organizations fosters an environment rich in innovation and growth. My most exciting viewpoint of Colorado Springs is the remarkable growth we have seen and continue to witness, which creates new opportunities and enhances the overall quality of life in the area. 5. Can you share one personal passion or hobby that helps balance your professional life? One personal passion of mine is exploring the great outdoors through hiking, fishing, Jeeping, or any activity that allows me to connect with nature. These experiences not only help me unwind and recharge, but they also immerse me in the stunning landscapes of Colorado Springs. Engaging with nature enhances my overall well-being and provides a refreshing perspective, ultimately boosting my productivity and creativity in my professional life We are proud to have John Benson as a part of CSRP!!
