What a unexpected #SnowDay in Houston, TX.
The excitement in the morning was shocking. Looking out the window and seeing the amount of snow was unbelievable.
As soon as the snow fall slowed down and we all gathered up our warmest clothes… even if we don’t have much to choose from.
The sunshine came out and revealed a perfect amount of snow cover across the trees and plenty of snow for fun with out causing too much damage or concern.
Playing in the snow was all fun and games. Making snow balls, snowmen and snow angels. Until your hands and toes became too cold and needed a warm up.
Seeing through the day how many footprints littered the blanket of snow and began to turn into slush.
This process happened on repeat until the snow started to melt and the sun began to set…
Then the most peculiar feeling came of longing, that the snow would stay. It was a unique experience to know that snow goes away and the hope that you made the most of the short time.
Every day is like this if you think of it… don’t waste a minute. Enjoy today.
