Congratulations to Dr. Matt Gardner for being the first surgeon to treat 100 patients with the CurvaFix intramedulary implant for pelvic fractures. Every new technology needs a great surgeon to lead the way, help drive the technique forward and push the envelope in real world situations. In addition to having great ‘hands’, Dr. Gardner is a big believer in educating his hospital and the community with regards to the operative indications for treating fragility fractures of the pelvis (aka low energy fractures.) He’s had tremendous success getting his patients up and weight bearing quickly with the CurvaFix implant and coined the term ‘No Pain. No Cane! We are grateful to learn from your experience. www.curvafix.com #fracture #trauma

“What you really need to avoid ending or starting in that poor parasymphyseal bone is to anchor your fixation in the contralateral zone two or even zone three. You need a strut against internal rotation. CurvaFix allows us to achieve that.” - Dr. Nick Quercetti, III, Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon with Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists providing services at Christiana Hospital, a Level 1 trauma center.
