ZAC Campers are making a splash at the Boys and Girls Club of Fullerton this week! The ZAC Foundation for Children's Safety kicked off our first ZAC Camp of the season with 100 kids from the #Fullerton area. All week, we'll be teaching safety skills through fun swim lessons and engaging classroom activities. This free camp is designed to boost kids' confidence in the water and teach them skills that will last a lifetime. #DrowningPrevention #PublicSafety

Last week, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention published a study on rising risk of drowning in the U.S. Over 4,500 people drowned each year in the United States from 2020–2022, this is about 500 more deaths per year compared to 2019. Groups already at higher risk saw the greatest increases in deaths, including young children and older adults of all races and ethnicities, and Black people of all ages. The U.S. National Water Safety Action Plan has outlined measures your community can take to reduce the risk of drownings. Read more in the report: https://lnkd.in/dTNHQ-tj
