Few careers are more rewarding than empowering someone to live a life of fulfillment and independence. That’s especially true when you’re directly supporting an adult with disabilities. At CWTC, that’s our mission — and the personal commitment each of our employees makes every day. Do you have a big heart? Are you the type of person who loves bringing a smile to the face of others? Do you want to make a difference in someone’s life — someone who will impact you just as much in return? If so, a career with us might be your calling. Our staff members end each day fulfilled in the joy they’ve brought into someone else’s life and eager for the new challenges and rewards of the next day. You too can share in this mission, and we encourage you to visit our current openings for a position best suited for you. It’s not a job. It’s not a career. It’s a calling. #cwtc https://lnkd.in/gp3NMv_Z

Join CWTC in welcoming our newest board member, Carrie Brewer! Working as an engineering manager at Caterpillar, Carrie said she had heard about CWTC and other Peoria organizations that partnered with Caterpillar to employ adults with disabilities for parts assembly. “It has long been a goal of mine to work in the community of Peoria with a special interest in helping adults with disabilities,” Carrie explained. “I started looking for opportunities last year and came across a post from CWTC looking for board members, and realized it was a great match!” Now collaborating with community leaders from diverse backgrounds, Carrie said she’s thrilled to help serve the CWTC mission — to provide programs and services to adults with disabilities, enrich their quality of life, promote social change, and optimize their potential for independence. “Everyone seems to enjoy working as a team and working for a common goal,” she said. “It’s been incredible to see how everyone has their own meaningful story of why they got involved and why they’re passionate about helping adults with disabilities within our community.” Do you want to help pave pathways to independence for adults with disabilities? There are many ways to get involved with CWTC, including employment opportunities, joining our board, and volunteering at our events!
