The goal is to solve problems, not just push your products. Here's how to do it right: Identify the Pain Points: What challenges does your audience face? Craft your content to address these directly. Share Expertise: Position yourself as a subject matter expert. Offer insights and advice that help, rather than sell. Hook Them In: Start with a compelling hook. Deliver substance that keeps viewers engaged. Call to Action: Focus on building a community—encourage followers to subscribe, follow, or join a group. The name of the game is making CONNECTIONS.     Affirmation from a marketing leader at a cybersecurity giant nearing $1b in revenue. It’s one thing to chat with cybersecurity leaders over Zoom every week, but it’s a whole different experience getting to talk face to face about their challenges at RSA. I’m still hearing the same story over and over: Google Ads are FAILING, and smart stakeholders are reallocating budget to areas that perform. Last night, a conversation with a cybersecurity marketing VP shed light on the evolving landscape of cyber advertising. As he shared the challenges of traditional paid search, it became clear: LinkedIn is where quality leads thrive. While cost-per-click metrics dominate Google, LinkedIn offers a different paradigm—Cost-per-video completion for founder-led, SME-centric video content. The name of the game is optimizing for views and maximizing completions, backed by robust tracking and attribution capabilities. This gives you the ability to perfect messaging fit in real-time. We’ve had the data and the results to support our strategies for quite a while now, but it’s great to hear such overwhelmingly positive feedback from so many leaders at RSA.     Video content outperforms static content in almost every scenario, especially in the cybersecurity space where decision-makers are too busy and sketched out to download gated content. Our Pentesting, MDR, GRC, Education, and SaaS clients who have embraced video-led programs are seeing significant boosts in brand awareness and pipeline, and all tell us they wish they had started sooner. So why the hesitation? Camera shyness? Video marketing on LinkedIn and other platforms like YouTube and Instagram is still a Blue Ocean for cybersecurity companies. However, this won’t last forever. At cyberwhyze we predict that within five years, at least 50% of companies will allocate substantial budgets to video marketing while leveraging their staff as thought leaders.
