Partnering to Deliver Community Outcomes

About us

In a climate of scarce behavioral health resources and great need, we raise and leverage public and private investments to deliver on resident-identified outcomes. We act as a nimble intermediary bringing together residents, public systems, community-based organizations, and funders. By investing in evidence and outcomes rather than specific programs or projects, we quickly and easily respond to shifts in community priorities.

A warm welcome to our newest CYC team members (somewhat belated)! We are thrilled to have Bryant Guillen, Finance and Systems Manager and Nakena Kilgore, Project Manager for Strong African American Families, join us. Each brings ingenuity, experience, and passion for the work they do. We are fortunate to have them on board!

We're looking to pay $600 for program space, 1 evening (5:00-8:00) a week for 8 weeks, in the Providence area. Each Strong African American Families session needs space for three groups of ten participants concurrently. Dinner is served at each session. We run several groups a year. Please share widely and thanks!

Implementation teams are the heartbeat and the engine that gets us to strong programatic outcomes, scale, and sustainability. If you're implementing evidence, tell me about your implementation teams and I'll tell you about your results. This is the CYC's Familias Unidas implementation team. All residents of the communities they engage, all bilingual (Spanish first) and bicultural. They analyze their own data, monitor their own fidelity, engage their families, guide our investments, set policy/strategy, and hurdle over their greatest implementation barriers. . While all people in the picture have formal backgrounds as clinicians, social workers, and case managers, they are also experts of their own lived experiences. Lots of folks and organizations are now using the words "lived experience", treating life as expertise. . My question to y'all saying the words: when folks with lived experience tell your organization to head in a different direction or invest resources in a way that wasn't part of your roadmap, what are you gonna do? . Having folks with lived experience on a panel or in a conversation isn't enough, it's tokenism. Turn decision making over, let these folks guide your strategy, policy, and investments, treat them like you would your white experts, then let's talk. . #implementationscience #livedexperience #race #raceequity #impsci
