⭐️ Personal Message ⭐️ Wanted to share a personal message and invitation before we all head to IMEX in two weeks! Some of you might know that my husband, Ruud, passed away in March of this year after being chronically ill for 15 years. My kids and I are healing, after being loving caretakers, them for their entire lives almost. The grief is different for us, as it is for many other families who have gone through loss of loved ones. I was not aware that there was a term for when you are grieving a loved one before they are gone - anticipatory grief. You are anticipating the loss, you are processing them gone while they are alive. You start feeling the weight of the loss before it actually happens. I know many eventprofs that are going through this or went through it. And this is why I'm grateful for Tahira Endean, MsC, CITP, CMP, CED and the IMEX team for creating this safe space for us to have this tough conversation. This different kind of session. It will be emotionally charged, might not have all the right answers, but will have plenty of hugs. :) Johnny Earle will be with me to share our experiences and to help others as best as we can.
