  • 🌟DA Staff Spotlight🌟 Of ADA Scott Wells, DA Creuzot recently said, “he delivered the best closing argument I may have ever heard,” but Scott would never tell you that. The New York native now proudly calls Texas home – and thank goodness! His path to criminal law was an unexpected one. Initially, he had a successful career with Verizon and aspired to become an executive, but an internship at the US Attorney’s Office changed everything. “No one ever expects to get the title of victim, and it’s amazing to me to see how we – as prosecutors – help navigate victims of crimes through the criminal justice system." ADA Wells is a man of many talents and skills. He began cutting hair at 17, first out of his house and then at a barbershop. Through this experience, he learned customer service, how to talk to people, and other skills that continue to serve him well as a prosecutor. Scott’s career journey shows that you never know where life will take you, but we are certainly lucky it landed him right here in Dallas County. Thank you, Scott for all you do!

  • 🌟DA Staff Spotlight🌟 From the walls of his office to the lanyard around his neck, it’s not hard to see who Investigator Anthony Winn roots for. “I am a diehard Cowboys fan.” This kind and friendly soul is always a breath of fresh air in the halls of the courthouse, but don’t let that fool you, he’s a seasoned law enforcement officer. He dutifully served the city of Dallas as a police officer for 31 years, even earning the FBI Medal of Valor. “I thought I was ready to go home and sit, but then I talked to a couple of my buddies who worked here and told me how good the DA’s Office is, so I thought, let’s give it a try!” Sr. Sgt. Winn has known our boss a long time thanks to his years on the force, and that’s part of what convinced him to come here, but most of all – he’s driven by his desire to help others. “I want the families we work with to know that we always give it our all. This is a very busy place, but we work to treat every case with respect and professionalism.” Thank you for all of your service, Investigator Winn!

  • “You chose your path,” said one of the survivors. “I have been waiting for this day for 24 years.” Dallas County Criminal District Attorney John Creuzot announces that Christopher Michael Green will spend the rest of his life in prison after a Dallas County jury found him guilty of Aggravated Sexual Assault. This case marks the first jury trial in Dallas County history to utilize Investigative Genetic Genealogy (IGG) as an investigative tool to help identify the suspect.

  • 🌟 DA STAFF SPOTLIGHT 🌟 Kind, modest, and a friendly face to all, ADA Priscilla Pelli is a bright light in the DA’s Office – but don’t let that sweet façade fool you, she’s also a heck of a lawyer. ADA Pelli serves in our Vehicular Crimes Unit where she’s already received accolades for her fight for justice for victims affected by these crimes. Once upon a time, this Connecticut-raised gal thought she might be a journalist, but after an internship at the Philadelphia DA’s Office – she saw a new path ahead. “The prosecutor has the power to change lives. Seeing how crime affects the community, especially low-income communities, was eye-opening, and being the child of immigrants and someone who grew up in a lot of different kinds of places, I have a unique perspective to help others. Justice looks different for everyone, and to do good we must do right by our community.” In 2021, Priscilla came to our office after her husband got a job at Children’s Hospital, and Dallas County hit the jackpot. A lover of travel and staying active, she has a heart for hard work and helping others– something she’s been delighted to see is a common trait among her coworkers here. “Yes, this job is a grind and the highs are really high and the lows are really low, but finding a community of support in this building and your work family who cares just as much about the fact that justice is done – rather than just coming to a government job means the world. It’s all about what we can do for others.” Thank you, ADA Priscilla Pelli for all you do – you are a valued member of our team!
