The Dallas Insurance Law American Inn of Court started off its 2024-2025 program year with an amazing meeting last night, including an introduction of the Inn's new members! A special thank you to Emily Buchanan of Haynes and Boone, LLP; Addie Jones of Markel; and Christina Culver of Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons L.L.P. for leading a great program on Adjusting Expectations: Protected Legal Advice or Discoverable Claims Handling. It was truly a great program! Additionally, thank you to Judge Sean Jordan of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas for opening the meeting with the Toast to the Constitution. The 2024 Advanced Consumer and Commercial Law Course is continuing with great afternoon presentations! Doug Scott of Christensen Hsu Sipes LLP kicked off the afternoon with a presentation on auto fraud. Beverly Godbey of Amy Stewart Law explored current caselaw regarding Stowers demands. And Eva Sikes with Texas RioGrande Legal Aid gave an insightful presentation on consumer issues with tiny homes.
