Today we are working remotely and the office will be closed on Thursday in anticipation of Hurricane Milton. We have many heroes on our staff and throughout the city continuing to protect youth from the storms in their lives regardless of the weather. Thank you to those that are standing with kids in care today and everyday.

The youth that Daniel work with have had a rough time - abandonment, loss, abuse, neglect - all kinds of things that kids should not have to witness or endure. We're grateful for companies like the Orange Park, FL office of Safelite who donated and assembled skateboards so that our youth can experience some childhood fun. Your efforts are sure to bring smiles to faces! #skateboardfun #improvingtheoddsforkids We're so thankful for companies like the Orange Park, FL office of Safelite for helping to ensure our youth will get to experience the fun of being a kid. Thank you for putting your time and talents into assembling skateboards for the kids. These are guaranteed to help put smiles on faces where there were none. #improvingtheoddsforkids #danielkids140 #skateboardingisfun

At Daniel Kids, we are always moved by the stories we receive about the life change Daniel makes. Our mission is made possible through your generous donations and the unwavering commitment of our team. Our staff provided us with this update recently after hearing from the mother of a former client. "Today, Jordan remains safe and does well in school. He is helpful to his mother, and follows rules and directions. Jordan begged his mother to let him return to visit the SIPP Campus. He visited and went to all the cottages to tell everyone thank you for how we helped him as a team. His mother also expressed thanks to the entire SIPP team." We are proud to witness Jordan's growth and resilience as he takes charge of his own story. #Makingadifference #DanielKids140 #Improvingthelivesofchildrenandfamilies

Play and laughter is an important part of childhood that has too often been missed in the lives of youth in treatment at Daniel. Thank you Citi Jacksonville for spending time with us. The play was intense and the muscles may be sore, but you brought a ton of smiles and fun to the kids for the afternoon.

Daniel is committed to being a comprehensive support for those struggling with addiction. Our team consists of a Master’s Certified Addictions Professional, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and Master’s level clinicians. We understand that addiction is often accompanied with depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues. Approximately 75% of individuals with a substance use disorder have experienced trauma at some point in their lives. Our outpatient treatment addresses the trauma, in addition to addiction, which is often a core trigger to using substances. Medicaid eligible clients can receive weekly outpatient therapeutic services, as well as psychiatric care and medication management. We are proud to be part of a strong recovery network for our clients. If you are interested in an evaluation, please contact our Admissions Department, 904-772-5165 #improvingthelivesofchildrenandfamiliesfor140years #RecoveryMonth
