Making self-care in the workplace just as important as customer care. Building undefeated organizational teams. Helping leaders lead post-pandemic. Motivating organizations and individuals to maximize potential!
Whew, what a week of travel. 4 events in 4 days!
Today, I landed in Maryland to speak at the #RTB24 "Raising The Bar" Workforce Development Conference for the Maryland Workforce Association. I appreciate the workforce development leaders in Maryland who invited me to the conference.
I will conduct the workshop "Post-Pandemic Leadership-The Key To Recruitment and Retention " tomorrow at 2:45 pm. This workshop we have been sharing nationwide is helping leaders upskill to the tools they need to work with a post-pandemic employee base. This is one of the most critical messages leaders need to embrace today.
Leaders need to get on board. People are not quitting jobs, they are quitting leaders and cultures-post-pandemic.
On Thursday, I will be the keynote speaker at their Post-Conference. I will share the message "Connecting Dreams To College!" I will discuss the power of workforce development and education to empower youth collectively toward college and career goals.
If you are at the conference and would like to connect, email me at info@coachdspeaks.com
It is going to be special!

Making self-care in the workplace just as important as customer care. Building undefeated organizational teams. Helping leaders lead post-pandemic. Motivating organizations and individuals to maximize potential!
Everywhere we go in the country and share the message of "Empowering Self-Care In The Workplace," the feedback and motivation to do self-care increases. This is a mission to us! People are burned out and tired in the workplace, creating unhealthy cultures because prioritizing oneself is not essential.
We are changing that narrative globally. We are championing self-care that leads to wellness.
For more information, visit our self-care website. This message aims to empower thousands of organizations, leaders, and staff.
Individual coaching and group.
This is the message of our generation in the workplace.

Getting positive feedback from my "Embracing Core Values-A Blueprint For Leadership Excellence" Solutions Talk-At The PA Workforce Development Association's Leadership Conference was great.
What the leaders learned is that you cannot lead a post-pandemic leadership workforce like it did pre. They are not the same people.
To retain talent post-pandemic, we need to learn key soft leadership skills, emotional intelligence, and much more.
I hate to break the bad news, but aggressive leaders who lead by fear and push are not valuable to the workforce post-pandemic. We can still get the job done- and lead with other people-oriented tools- to get there.
I love how we are coaching and training leaders and leadership teams nationally to embrace this model.
You will be far ahead of the game-if you create this kind of culture!

I have always enjoyed speaking at the PENNSYLVANIA WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION conferences, but I am over the top excited to be a speaker at their Workforce Leaders Symposium.
Our event, "Embracing Core Values-A Blueprint For Leadership Excellence," will empower leaders to make core values integration a top priority post-pandemic. To effectively recruit and retain top talent, enhance organizational culture, and build a winning dream team core, values must move beyond posters on a wall to organizational DNA.
Join us for this fantastic conference to learn more.

One of my goals this year was to have a consistent flow of keynote speeches on top of our workshops, training, and coaching.
We have reached this goal and then some.
I am excited about my upcoming keynote with the National Employment Network Association and several others.
I never take any of this lightly and am grateful to the many associations, organizations, corporations, and others who invite us in.
Our team at DA, LLC is grateful.

Surgeon General Vivek Murthy is urging Congress to require warning labels on social media platforms, similar to those on cigarette packages. https://lnkd.in/gHEP3X84
This prompted me to address a concern I've observed over many years of inspiring youth. The audiences have changed significantly since I first began encouraging young people to connect their dreams to education and careers. Today’s youth seem to be more anxious and depressed compared to the past.
After my events, numerous young people reach out to me on social media to discuss their mental health struggles. Depression and anxiety are the most common issues they share with me.
The Surgeon General’s report, combined with my personal experiences, made me reflect on five aspects of my childhood that seemed to keep anxiety and depression at bay. Back then, I didn't know any friends in therapy, nor were they depressed or suicidal. We had a community that communicated with us regularly, we played outside until we were exhausted, we had family dinners at the table with all our family members, and we had numerous loved ones who frequently spoke into our lives.
Isolation in our rooms was unheard of, and staying inside all day was considered a punishment.
I’m sharing a list of strategies from my childhood that, while old-school, might help us address these mental health issues. Instead of over-medicating our kids, we should consider returning to the basics.
Use this list as you will—it's my attempt to share a few strategies that made us healthy and happy young people.
I agree with the Surgeon General—too much social media, isolation, and technology are causing serious mental health issues, and more technology isn't always the solution. We can go back to the basics as well.
Here’s my list. I would love to hear from people who grew up in the late '60s, '70s, and '80s. What are your thoughts? Would you add anything to this list?

I had so much fun on the wellness stage at #shrm24
HR, Corporate, Education and Non Profit Leaders put in copious time to strenghten their organizations, our job here was to strenghten them.
I shared a phrase my grandmother used to stablize us as kids many times.
This phrase is becoming a global mantra for many during these perilous post-pandemic times.
Burnout, stress, anxiety, are at an all time high.
We are doing something to combat this!
I was one of a handful of people selected to speak at the #wellnessstage Truly an honor!

After my workshops, many attendees said, "You should be a main stage speaker!" I decided to post one of the testimonials and another comment I heard after the #wellnessstage at SHRM 24, "The information is essential, and he needs more time!
Our "Self-Care Movement" Message is taking fire and was well received at the conference. We gave enough practical information for people to go back and apply some of the principles.
We have hundreds of these testimonials, but I just wanted to post a few. Hopefully, next year, we will have a bigger venue for this message, which is needed and necessary.
