𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐥 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐤𝐧𝐞𝐫, 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐬𝐡𝟎! We are excited to continue our series by introducing another key member of the Dash0 team - Marcel Birkner! Marcel’s tech journey began with a strong foundation in computer science from Bonn and Toronto. After starting his career in Toronto, he returned to Germany, where he specialized in Java programming and infrastructure automation, working in consulting and telecommunications. He then took on roles as a Site Reliability Engineer at Instana and later ClickHouse, where he played a pivotal role in building cloud infrastructure. Marcel drives the smooth, secure, and efficient operation of Dash0’s cloud infrastructure. He is also deeply involved in testing and applying new product features in real-world scenarios, offering critical feedback to ensure Dash0’s products maintain top-tier quality. 𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭 Outside of his technical expertise, Marcel enjoys staying active by playing basketball on a team. 🏀 Marcel has been with Dash0 since its inception in May 2023, and we are lucky to have him on our team, helping to elevate everything we do!
