AI-Powered Signal and Waveform Intelligence

About us

AI-powered, hardware-independent software for signal and waveform intelligence anywhere, on any platform—all in real time. Warfighters, wireless carriers, satellite operators, law enforcement, intelligence agencies—all rely on sensors to provide ongoing intelligence in support of their operations. But with so many points of data from so many sources, it's impossible to get actionable information when you need it—until now. With no need for internet connectivity and no dependency on inconvenient and complex proprietary hardware, DataShapes closes the latency gap between data collection and analysis from weeks to minutes—on land, in the air, under the sea, and into space. "One area that we see as really being able to provide value is focusing on the security of that technology — thinking about it through both the lens of the protection of intellectual property but also how we think about defending those models to ensure that they're being used properly."  -United States Air Force Gen. Timothy D. Haugh, commander of the U.S. Cyber Command The security center is used to develop best practices, evaluation methodology, and risk frameworks to promote the secure adoption of new AI capabilities across the national security enterprise and the defense industrial base. Today marks the anniversary of September 11, 2001—a day that we will remember forever. We pause to honor the lives lost, the courage of first responders, and the resilience of those who persevered in the face of this unspeakable tragedy. In the aftermath of 9/11, we witnessed the strength of communities, the resolve of a nation, and the importance of standing united. While we reflect on the past, it reminds us of our ongoing responsibility to build a safer, more secure world. May we never forget the lessons of this day, and may we continue to work toward a future where unity and compassion prevail. #neverforget

A layered, adaptive electronic warfare (EW) approach is crucial for maintaining dominance in the electromagnetic spectrum. Threats are rapidly evolving and traditional systems that rely on pre-programmed responses can’t keep pace. But by layering capabilities—ranging from passive signal monitoring to adaptive, real-time AI-driven waveform monitoring—military forces can better detect, classify, and counter both conventional and emerging threats. This multi-layered strategy ensures comprehensive coverage and faster response times, protecting people and assets from jamming, surveillance, and other hostile electronic activities. As threats in the spectrum grow more complex, integrating diverse technologies that work in unison will provide a decisive edge. By combining traditional EW tactics with adaptive, cutting-edge AI solutions, military operations can achieve real-time awareness and protect critical assets. "Every organization is looking at ways to improve their capability with this new technology. [But] it's not enough to just sprinkle 'AI dust' on everything and expect transformation." -Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Charles Q. Brown As Gen. Brown highlights, sprinkling 'AI dust' is not a strategy. Real, effective solutions for the enterprise require a pragmatic, mission-focused, and scalable approach. This means aligning AI initiatives with specific operational goals, ensuring they enhance decision-making at every level, and investing in infrastructure that allows seamless integration. AI must be treated as an enabler of strategy and tactics, not just a technological add-on. Treating it as such fails to deliver its full potential. AI should be embedded in the core of an organization’s strategy, driving efficiency and innovation from within. The Army Futures Command hosted Cyber Quest 2024 to test and field innovative technologies that meet the US Army's specific challenges. Here are some of our key takeaways from the event: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐅 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 AI is essential for managing the radio frequency spectrum, due to traditional RF library detection and classification methods being outdated. AI can not only continuously learn but also detect and classify new modulation types not present in legacy RF libraries, providing confidence scores for its predictions. 𝐀 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 Machine-learning approaches can enable the detection and learning of new signals, including the identification of multiple competing signals on one frequency. Our solution even properly identified jamming signals, allowing our soldiers to apply effective mitigation techniques in real-time. 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 Low compute requirements and low SWaP (Size, Weight, and Power) are critical for operational missions. Throughout the two-week test event, our technology demonstrated 99% uptime, even in temperatures above 100 degrees, while integrated with various SDRs and CPU platforms for flexible deployment configurations. 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐫-𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 Feedback shows that accurate and automated signal classification is a must for enhancing soldier situational awareness and helping ensure their safety in modern environments. The ability to rapidly identify, classify, and respond to signals is necessary, and the test exercises completed at Cyber Quest 2024 have set a new benchmark for electronic warfare technology. We were honored to participate with our Spectrum Intelligence and Edge AI solution (GlobalEdge), which we’ve been developing and refining for years.
