As we get closer to Run Medford race day, we wanted to share some more random acts of kindness we’ve received from this year’s participants! Jakob shared with us that he took the time to bake cookies for his dog’s vet staff! What a thoughtful act for those that keep our furry friends healthy. 🐕 💛 🐈 Are you interested in registering for the Run Medford event on September 27th and 28th? About us
Our mission at the Dave McGillivray Finish Strong Foundation is to inspire and empower youth across New England and beyond to increase physical activity, expand literacy, and build community and self-esteem though running, reading, and performing acts of kindness. Our vision is rooted in a belief that discovering a passion for physical activity, reading, and acts of kindness at a young age gives individuals self-confidence and self-respect, which empowers them to move forward—one step at a time.

We wanted to give a shout out to Mabel who shared her act of kindness with the Run Medford team. Acts of kindness can have a chain reaction, and we hope that you’re inspired to start your own act of kindness chains. Mabel shared that she has been helping her elder neighbor take the trash out. At 15, Dave was cut from the basketball team not because of a lack of skills, but because of his height. This was a defining moment for Dave as he knew that he was good enough to compete. So he decided that he was never going to let anyone tell him he wasn’t good enough or didn’t belong! Learn more about Dave here: https://loom.ly/PQfe44g
