Proud to share that our DMA Philly team had the honor of attending last week’s ribbon cutting for The School District of Philadelphia Lewis C. Cassidy Elementary School. Teachers, parents, and West Philly residents celebrated the $62M new school opening last week. DMA provided civil engineering services including site grading and stormwater management for the school's demolition and new construction, as well as coordination with the architect team. As our interns wrap up their time with us, we’re celebrating the amazing growth and achievement that these young professionals have brought to DMA. Over the past 13 weeks, our 11 interns have been on site visits, supported a variety of active projects, developed internal documents for company-wide use, participated in team and client meetings, contributed to project proposals and estimates, and learned new design and analysis software. We’re confident that their talent and skills will continue into the Fall, and we’re excited to see what our internship class of 2024 achieves next! 🎉 Happy 35th Anniversary to Us! Last week DMA hit our 35th year in business. Our staff from St. Louis, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Tampa had the opportunity to celebrate, from donuts in the morning, to lunch, and some end of workday fun with happy hours, a nice dinner, and even some arcade games!   For 35 years, DMA has been energized by the challenge and inspired by our people. Construction for the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Center St. Louis (AMICSTL) is expected to begin later this year. According to a recent St. Louis Business Journal article, the project will potentially create hundreds of new businesses and spur regional growth. The article also noted that manufacturing high bay research and development manufacturing space, advanced specialty labs and corresponding equipment, community spaces for training and community activities, and an auditorium for world-class technical conferences and product showcases will be inside AMICSTL. We are happy to announce Allison Shaw has joined DMA’s Tampa Bay office as Division Manager of Civil Engineering! Allison is a talented professional bringing more than three decades experience in civil engineering, construction, and management. She has been a senior project manager for several leading engineering firms in the Tampa Bay area, and she has also served as a civil engineer for the City of Key West. Allison has EOR experience for private and public clients with sectors including governmental, institutional, mixed use, and multi-family housing. She will serve as client liaison for our growing efforts in all Florida markets. Allison will also provide support for civil engineering and solar utility projects across all DMA offices. A graduate of Arkansas State University with a BS in Civil Engineering, Allison is a Professional Engineer in the state of Florida. Earlier in her career, she was also certified as a professional land surveyor and mapper. “I am incredibly appreciative to be a part of a company that does great work but especially a company that embodies an exceptional culture: one that is supportive, family-oriented, ethical, and true to its word,” Shaw said. “It's more than a workplace; it's a community where values matter and where every member is valued!” With Allison on our team, DMA is confident that we can continue to drive success.
