Exciting Announcement! This holiday season, Days for Girls is participating in the 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 initiative, sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, to light the world with menstrual health. What is a 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞? It’s a vending machine of service and joy! Instead of buying snacks or drinks, you could buy an item representing a DfG washable menstrual pad Kit for a school girl, refugee, or new mother. Your purchase of the item representing the solution is a donation that directly supports that cause. This inspiring initiative will be hosted across 108 cities globally and includes opportunities to give online, enabling people everywhere to join in meaningful acts of service. Stay tuned to learn the locations and dates of 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 near you! Want to learn more today? With a team of 35, ProInfancia creates DfG Kits and teaches girls to manage their cycles with dignity. Martha's work continues to transform lives, and she remains driven by her passion for service. At Days for Girls, we are committed to ensuring that women and girls worldwide have access to period products and education, and our supply chain helps us reach them! What does this look like? In the United States, we operate three key collection points, where amazing volunteers assemble washable menstrual health Kits. These Kits are then sent to those in need, often as part of humanitarian aid, reaching refugees, internally displaced persons, or those affected by conflict or natural disasters. Throughout the African continent, where DfG has a supply hub in Nairobi, Kenya, the DfG supply chain looks like negotiating with suppliers to get the best possible prices, including a recent 20% reduction in the cost of materials in East Africa. This means better-priced, quality products that reach girls in both rural and urban communities. At DfG, we are committed to providing the highest quality washable pads to those who need them. When people have what they need to menstruate safely, they have increased confidence to participate in school, work, and society and pursue their goals. Today is International Day of the Girl. This year’s theme, “Girls’ Vision for the Future,” is especially poignant as many girls worldwide are enduring unimaginable crises. With escalating violence and natural disasters, countless girls now lack access to the critical menstrual health supplies they urgently need. This is the situation in Lebanon, where conflict has displaced nearly a million people. Meanwhile, in the U.S., Hurricane Helene has left whole communities struggling. For girls in these areas, access to menstrual health products has become a daily battle. Your support will provide essential menstrual health supplies and education, helping girls in crisis manage their periods with dignity and safety, allowing them to pursue their “vision for the future.” Thanks to the generosity of several donors, your contributions today will be matched! Join us in making a difference and double your impact by helping us provide menstrual health supplies to girls in Lebanon, those affected by Hurricane Helene, and beyond! https://bit.ly/4cXV8oV
