We have a great board at D&HHS, including Tyler Smeltekop, the Assistant Director for Assistive Technology Innovation at Michigan State University. He recently shared this job posting for a Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing/Chronic Health Access Specialist at the MSU Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities and asked us if we could share on our networks (which of course, we are happy to do). They would love to have someone with ASL knowledge in the role. The position is hybrid and usually is in the office three days a week and work from home two days a week during the Fall and Spring semesters. See https://lnkd.in/e4bWBexQ

Deaf & Hard of Hearing Services has been serving West Michigan and beyond for three decades. As we work to partner with and advocate for the people we serve, we also want to make sure we are always listening and working to get better. We have a short survey we are hoping you could respond to. It is a tool we are using to help us improve. All information shared will be kept 100% confidential, and you can respond in a number of ways, including a video response in ASL! For the best experience, we recommend using a computer when responding to the survey. Visit our website to participate: https://lnkd.in/ewhqaU24 #Deaf #access #advocacy

With gratitude for the many people in our industry and so many other industries who do important work, often behind the scenes, we pay tribute to those who labor, and we note that our offices will be closed on Monday in honor of the holiday. Happy Labor Day weekend to all! #LaborDay
