Did you catch us floating down the #SanMarcos River earlier this month? 🛟 🌊 We made a splash with Float the Vote, a fun summer event where we #connected with people over 🌭hot dogs, 🎶music, 🥤swag, and 🗳️voting! Thanks to our friends at the Center for Cultural Strategy, Texas Rising, Jolt Action, and MOVE TX for helping us put this together. 💜 This is what our Political Director, Shelly Baker had to say: “Now more than ever it is important to show young people the power their ballot holds and the impact it can have in communities across Texas. This is how we reach young voters and bring them along for the ride throughout the state and into the November elections. We’re making voting as easy as a summer day on the river.” ☀️🐢 #100 days until the November elections! Make sure you’re registered to #vote

🎉🎂 Happy 8th Birthday, to us! 🎂🎉 Eight years of empowering young leaders, advocating for gender equity, and making real change happen. Thank you to everyone who has supported us in another year together! Celebrate by sending today’s young leaders an $8 gift! 💜: https://lnkd.in/garEcGwF Support young Texas leaders in their fight to challenge patriarchal norms. ✨💪🏾

    • It's our birthday!
    • We envision a future where young leaders from all backgrounds, especially the most marginalized, have the autonomy to reach their full potential through: Freedom from violence, Reproductive Autonomy, Economic Opportunity, and Equitable Representation.
    • To date, our changemakers have successfully passed 29 gender equity bills into state and municipal law, leveraging their stories to shape policy across their communities.
    • Together, we removed the Tampon Tax in Texas!

We've pushed for policies for survivors such as some Title IX reform, and the passing of banning non-consensual pelvic exams.

Recently, we were recognized in the city of El Paso for passing a resolution that raises awareness of period poverty.
    • Thank you for believing in our mission. We look forward to many more years of making an impact. Together, we will continue to create a more equitable world.
