    A.I. is trying to replicate human behavior. At first glance, it might seem like A.I. can do everything humans can do, especially when it comes to SEO. But here’s the problem: A.I. isn’t human, and it never will be. A.I. can regurgitate facts, synthesize data, and write a product description, but it can’t tell you what something feels like, what it’s really like to use a product, or how a particular strain affects someone. It doesn’t have the firsthand knowledge or lived experience that resonates with consumers—especially when it comes to niche markets like cannabis. That’s why Google added Experience to its E.E.A.T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) guidelines. Dispensaries with content that shows real, lived experiences have a higher chance of ranking.     “Culture eats strategy for breakfast” - Peter Drucker Hear me out. Quick throwback to the Lakers’ 2003-04 season. They had everything you could ask for on paper: Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, Karl Malone, and Gary Payton—all future Hall of Famers. Everyone expected them to dominate the league. But instead of running away with the championship, they imploded. The talent was there, but the culture was broken. Kobe and Shaq were at each other’s throats. No one was on the same page. A team of superstars fell apart because they lacked trust, communication, and unity. Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons, who had no individual stars on the level of Kobe or Shaq, played like a well-oiled machine. Their culture carried them to a championship. My agency has grown considerably over the past couple of years. We’ve added some real rockstars to our team—people who are at the top of their game in SEO, content, and strategy. But we know talent isn’t enough. What’s driven our success is the culture we’ve built. Everyone is on the same page. Communication flows freely. Values are shared and respected.     Before you spend a dime on marketing, make sure your weedgame is tight. SEO is not black magic. SEO is not a silver bullet. You can spend all the money in the world on marketing but it won’t help if your brand experience sucks.

    Inbound to NYC for Revelry and Mixtape. Super stoked! It’s a homecoming for me. I went to Law School in NYC. Can’t wait to touch that ground, breathe that air, feel that energy, and hear all the stories about the state of the game from the people that live and breathe it in NYC.     The other day I read a post where someone was looking for SEO services and a “helpful” commenter said Yext was a complete SEO “solution”. Aside from the fact that Yext is just a citation management tool and the helpful commenter was incorrect, it got me thinking about the difference between tools and solutions. Yext, Ahrefs, Local Falcon, ChatGPT, Surfer and similar tools are powerful, but they’re just tools. And tools alone don’t solve SEO problems. They give you data. They help you generate content. But they don’t strategize & execute to drive results. Imagine having a hammer. That’s a tool. But if you don’t have the skill to drive a nail or the deeper knowledge of how to build something useful, that hammer won’t get you anywhere. It’s the same for SEO. Tools can give you data and improve efficiency, but unless you have a strategy and a professional team with chops to execute that strategy — you won’t get the results you want. Tools + Strategy & Execution = Solutions.
