We reaping the dividends of this investment! September Ridership Updates! - 13,279 trips provided! With this...we aren't even close to done yet! October 14th, we are launching our first new zone since FLEX's inception in 2020. • Since 2020, we have switched from a fixed-route service to an on-demand ride service similar to Uber or Lyft. In 2019, we provided about 73,000 fixed-route trips, and in 2023, we provided about 118,000 on-demand rides, 75% of which were Flex rides.   "We're proving that this model of microtransit works," said Executive Director Andy Volenik.   With our new expanded hours, we hope to connect even more people to our community through safe, reliable transportation. DCT keeps hitting new milestones! Throughout the the first quarter of the year, we sat just below 12,000 trips served per month. DCT’s Chair Ferzan Ahmed and myself would discuss at Board meetings - we really want to hit that 12k mark. We can officially say we’ve done it! This past April, DCT served 12,239 trips for the Delaware community! This is the single highest ridership month ever for DCT, and the first time DCT has surpassed 12,000 trips served. With the pending expansion of hours of service within the City of Delaware, OH and our future FLEX zone in the City of Sunbury, Ohio we are scheduled to have more records broken! None of this happens without our community supporting us and trusting us. Thank you residents, businesses and stakeholders for you support! As always, thank you to our Board Ferzan Ahmed, Beth Easterday, Jason Sanson, Bruce Luecke, Ben Turner, Sarah Clark Huffman and Jill Love, all who serve this amazing community and continue to be our best support as we pursue the vision of quality mobility options for Delaware County, Ohio!
