  • You work all year to create a better organization and a better life. You strive on behalf of yourself, your team, and your family. You carry a lot on your shoulders. And along this beautiful journey of picking up burdens and strategically letting them go, you continuously discover a treasure: joy. Joy isn’t the byproduct of ‘finally doing it perfectly’. Joy is a stepping stone along your path. And it’s one you come across often. Today, you have but one responsibility: Take a deep breath through your nose and release it slowly through your mouth. Let the joy bubble to the surface and enjoy it. All. Day. Long. Repeat: I feel joy.

  • You see things that could be. After all, you’re a Visionary! Your ability to ideate and generate dozens of alternate endings to any day is unparalleled. As a wise delegator at this point in your journey, you know there’s a time and a place to delegate, and there’s a time and a place to… hold your breath. A team looks toward the leader for direction. A leader who shares endless dreams cascades in endless directions! And this kind of sharing breeds a very confused and split team. When you’re in the mood to do an idea dump, label it as that! Let your team know that you’re rattling off ideas to see which idea should turn into a plan. At the end of the brainstorming, clearly announce the winner and begin discussing what success looks like at different milestones. If there is no action to be followed up with, make that clear as well. As a Visionary, you do not ever have to stop dreaming. You do get to be thoughtful in how and when you express your dreams. Repeat: I balance my creativity with effective communication, fostering harmony.

  • You want joy – or at least you think you do. But what do your thoughts, beliefs, and actions really say about joy? Many entrepreneurs and visionaries put joy on their checklist, next to more freedom and fulfillment. And then we’ll do something like cling to control, shy away from a leap due to fear, or make some other limiting decision. The only thing standing between you and the joyful life you want is your commitment to choosing freedom over fear in every situation. The good news is you can make this one choice, one moment at a time. Imagine a person who is ready to receive and embrace joy. How does that person behave? What thoughts do they feed? Which do they acknowledge, and which do they let pass? With whom do they surround themselves? Which beliefs motivate them? Answer those questions, and then fill in the physical details of your imaginary person with your attributes. You are ready for joy. Hold onto this visual in your mind or on a piece of paper. When faced with a decision or feeling down about your progress, look back on that joy-loving person. Tap into the joy frequency and watch your life transform. Recite the following: I choose joy. I choose freedom. I choose me. Repeat: I am ready for joy.

  • What makes four-leaf clovers so lucky? Three-leaf clovers are a dime a dozen and are mostly overlooked. Four-leaf clovers, on the other hand, are rare. They’re harder to find. Therefore, finding one is said to be a stroke of luck. Take a moment today to reflect upon the things in your life. What do you have now that you once considered rare? What do you take for granted today that once seemed like a far-off dream? Part of creating your own luck is recognizing the novelty in your day-to-day existence. Acknowledge what is special and take a moment to feel grateful for it. Just because something occurs with frequency, does not make it ordinary. Recite the following: Each day is made up of many micro-miracles. I appreciate the wonders that make up my life. I grow my luck each time I pause to appreciate it. Repeat: I create (and grow) my own luck!
