"Losing just an hour of sleep from Daylight Saving Time might not seem like much," says our HealthFitness Program Manager Shaylin (Pachciarz) Dodd, "but it can take a toll on our bodies." Can you relate? For those who are struggling with the time change, here are some of Shaylin's top tips for getting back on track this week. 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲. Going to bed just one hour earlier can help your body adjust to the change.  𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲. Try to get outside every day, as natural light plays an important role on your circadian rhythm. 𝗘𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘁. Proper nutrition is linked to sleep. Be mindful of drinking caffeine too late and avoid eating right before bed - it may affect the amount of time you are in deep sleep. 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲. One of the many health benefits to regular physical activity is that it helps our bodies sleep (be sure to consult your physician before starting any new exercise program). 𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸.
