UPDATE: Denny's will be serving meals 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to the general public tomorrow, Sept. 30, at our Spartanburg offices (203 East Main Street). The offices are closed due to the extent of the damage in the area.
A hot meal and warm smiles – both are on the way.
As members of our community are in need in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Denny’s will be serving stacks of warm, fluffy stacks of pancakes in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and the Florida Gulf Coast.
In partnership with the City of Spartanburg and American Red Cross, the Mobile Relief Diner, our 53-foot diner on wheels, will serve our community on Sunday, Sept. 29, at Denny’s location at 2306 Reidville Road in Spartanburg. First responders will be served first, beginning at 7 a.m.; we will be providing meals for the general public from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
On Monday, Sept. 30, the Mobile Relief Diner will serve meals at the Denny’s home office located at 203 East Main Street. Again, first responders will be served at 7 a.m., followed by general public from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
After two events in Spartanburg, our Mobile Relief Diner will head to Florida’s Gulf Coast to serve meals in hard-hit areas.
In times like these, feeding our community is a small act that can bring comfort and happiness. Thank you to the Denny’s franchise and corporate stores who are providing volunteers to cook and serve meals, as well as our brand employees who live in Spartanburg and are coming out to volunteer in Florida in this time of need.
Please share this post if you are in the area and know of community members in need.
