The synergies between the two companies are evident, with people and the social side of sustainability at the core of everything we do. 💫 Diversity Matters... Also in Financial Services? We kicked off the Nordic Fintech Week discussing this topic with a presentation by Emma Helbo. Today, the financial products pension like funds, ETF etc. are highly standardized and few consider sustainability, especially on the social aspect. Not just for retail investors but also institutional investors such as family offices. With Ken Gamskjaer and Francois Botha, Emma discussed the future of family offices and why digitalization, knowledge, and data are core in the transformation of wealth for next generation. 🌍 Denominator at #ClimateWeek NYC 2024 🌎 Over the coming days, our CEO Anders Rodenberg and Kristian Wredstroem are engaging in high-impact discussions and events. Here are some early insights: 🔹For another year, we joined the Equality Lounge organized by The Female Quotient and Deloitte, where the focus was on both Social and Environmental progress for true sustainability. Companies like ServiceNow, The Estée Lauder Companies Inc., and IPG Mediabrands showcased their commitment to advancing equality and diversity. 🌿 Sustainable finance took the spotlight at the Sustainable Investment Forum. Norges Bank Investment Management highlighted the importance of active engagement, promoting sector-specific analysis to drive ESG progress. CalPERS, focused on equity in the just transition and corporate engagement in data disclosure.    🔹 Attending the SustainableIT.org Gala Dinner allowed us to unite with leaders in celebrating sustainability and the UN Digital Compact. 🌱 Further reinforcing the connections between DEI data and sustainable business strategies, we attended the Sustainability Summit NYC reception, co-hosted by State of Green Denmark, PensionDanmark, PKA, and PFA. 🏆 Lastly, the long-awaited CSO Awards North America /24, where Denominator has proudly served as a knowledge partner and previously launched a report analyzing diversity metrics across nominated companies, was celebrated. 📉 It is 829% more likely to find a woman as a CSO than as a CEO 📉 This insight is one of the key findings from our latest report, which analyzes diversity among the Top 100 companies nominated for the North America CSO Award /24, in collaboration with the futur/io Institute. The winners will be revealed later today at the New York ceremony, coinciding with Climate Week. 📌 Noteworthy insights from the report: 🔹 Women hold 65 out of 100 CSO positions, making them the most represented gender in this role, surpassing male representation.  🔹 Companies with a CSO nominee outperform the North American average in gender representation, with 76% more women in executive roles and 75% more women in board positions compared to the North American benchmark.  🔹 At the CEO level, however, only 7 out of 100 positions are occupied by women, showing a significant gap compared to other leadership roles. 📉 Overall, the data shows that there is still considerable progress to be made in achieving gender equality at the highest levels of corporate leadership. 🔍 Curious how the top 100 companies perform on social metrics such as Gender, Race/Ethnicity, Disability, and Age? 🌍 This Wednesday, Denominator attended EY & Dansk Erhverv Sustainability Awards, an event celebrating companies for their innovative and transformative sustainability efforts. 🔹 This year, a new Special Award for Long Term Value Creation was introduced. The energy company, Ørsted, was the winner, recognized for their outstanding work in Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI). As Jan C. Olsen, CEO of EY Denmark, shared: “With the Special Award, we have emphasized that DEI is a clear and integrated part of the company's sustainability efforts and strategy, but also that the company is generally doing well on the entire ESG agenda.” 🔹 Brian Mikkelsen, Administrative Director of Dansk Erhverv, also emphasized: “Ørsted's diversity efforts extend beyond gender, focusing on strengthening overall diversity by ensuring that its future workforce represents a broader range of cultural, personal, and competence backgrounds.” 🔹 At Ørsted, diversity is seen as key to achieving innovative and sustainable solutions, reflected in Global Director of Culture and Talent Nicholas Creswell’s statement: "There has been a greater understanding that large organizations must contribute to creating a more just society for everyone. 🌍 This has been an eventful week for #TeamDenominator, with participation at events across three continents: North America, Asia, and Europe 🌍 🔹 In North America, Kristian Wredstroem traveled to attend Responsible Investor Canada, that emphasized the necessity for standardized reporting globally and the importance of robust data to support and verify estimations in modelled datas. Moreover, the conference highlighted how social considerations should be viewed not only as risk mitigators but also as opportunities for significant return of investments. 🔹 In Singapore, Joey Lee Olsen participated in the Sustainability Investment Forum, where industry experts delved into the evolution of sustainability for private equity in Asia and discussed key topics such as ESG data convergence, embedding ESG into value creation plans, and navigating complex regulatory landscapes. 🔹 Lastly, in Europe, our CEO Anders A. L. Rodenberg attended the launch of the book, "Study with Me," advocating for greater gender representation in science.
