#DRCOG recently completed its first two corridor studies, the Alameda Corridor Study and the South Boulder Road Corridor Study. Part of a new corridor planning program, both projects looked at key regional projects currently identified in the fiscally constrained 2050 Regional Transportation Plan. The Alameda Corridor Study looked at Alameda between Wadsworth and the R-Line, a 14-mile stretch currently identified for bus-rapid transit in the 2050 Regional Transportation Plan. This project was a close partnership with RTD, Colorado Department of Transportation, City and County of Denver, City of Aurora and City of Lakewood. The study identified shared corridor-wide goals, as well as specific challenges and potential solutions throughout the corridor. See the final report at https://lnkd.in/g8Q4SPqx The South Boulder Road Study looked at South Boulder Road and Table Mesa Drive from Boulder to Lafayette, which is identified as a future priority transit corridor in the 2050 Regional Transportation Plan. The plan was a partnership with Boulder County, City of Boulder, City of Louisville, Colorado and City of Lafayette, Colorado. It identifies corridor wide goals, including improved transit, bikeways, and safety, as well as specific intersections and segments for future projects. See the final report at https://lnkd.in/g9WeemDf DRCOG is excited to continue to work with our local and regional partners through the corridor planning program to help ensure the 2050 Regional Transportation Plan becomes a reality.
