2024 has been a busy year so far for the team at Endiatx, who remains intensely dedicated to bringing PillBot™ to market, a moving, pill-sized camera that will enable 220+ million people around the world to get quick, easy endoscopies at home. 🤖 💊 In April, Endiatx hit the stage at TED Conferences, and Vivek Kumbhari MD PhD navigated Pillbot™ around Alex Luebke's stomach in a terrific presentation, modeling how this technology can swiftly provide direct visualization of internal organs. https://lnkd.in/gPCFsrPc On Tested, Adam Savage (of Mythbusters, the Matrix, Star Wars special-effects fame) visited Endiatx, and swallowed two PillBots™, which he piloted around his own stomach! Endiatx’ goal is to secure FDA approval and launch commercially in the U.S. by early 2026. The company envisions a future where PillBots are readily available and affordable, potentially even sold over-the-counter at pharmacies for around $50. This could totally transform the field of gastroenterology, making diagnostic procedures more accessible, convenient, and cost-effective for patients. VB also highlights some of Endiatx' future development plans and longer term vision, including the natural incorporation of AI, both for fully autonomous control, as well as enabling vast new data service capabilities: “AI is how we go from 1 percent of people getting access to this tech to 100 percent of people getting access to it multiple times a year if necessary."
