Today, I'm very excited to share that we are making our cloud deployment engine open-source. We are doing this because: 1. Security and privacy have become even more critical with AI. 2. Most systems are a 'black box' and designed for vendor lock-in! We want to take a different approach. 3. Most of the world's software uses open source. This allows us to give back to the community. When we started deployment.io, we started with a vision of a product that would combine the ease of use of Heroku with the power, control, and transparency of managing our cloud. We have a lot of features in the pipeline, and a lot of things will change. However, our users will always be able to check what we exactly do with their code and cloud.
