Our joint initiative aims to empower 15 rural communities through a comprehensive Menstrual Hygiene Program for Rural Women in Gujarat. This program not only raises awareness but also distributes sanitary napkins and creates livelihood opportunities. When Gitanjali from Odisha attended a Banking and Saving Education Awareness camp led by our Hero Kalayani, she learned about banking procedures and government benefits that were available to her. Inspired by Kalayani's guidance, Gitanjali applied for her passbook and accessed these services. Alongside Kalayani, Gitanjali gathered the necessary documents and confidently opened her first bank account. This small but significant step symbolizes a transformative moment in her journey to financial independence. Now, she saves money monthly for emergencies, feeling more empowered and secure. Gitanjali expresses her gratitude to the Desai Foundation Trust for raising awareness and positively impacting her financial journey.
