We're incredibly proud to have partnered with Kirkland Signature to create something special - Kirkland Vintage Ale, a Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout available exclusively at Costco Wholesale. As one of the most trusted brands, it’s been an exciting experience collaborating with their team on this bold and complex brew. Aged for nine months in bourbon barrels, this 12% ABV stout delivers rich notes of dark chocolate and roasted coffee. We’re thrilled to see it featured on Parade! Have you had a chance to try it yet? We are proud to team up with Patagonia Provisions and The Land Institute during #ClimateWeekNYC, spotlighting the power of Kernza. With a 12 ft root system, this incredible grain is helping pave the way for climate resilience through deeper, longer-lasting living roots. Cheers to a future of more responsible brewing!

𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 #ClimateWeekNYC: Regenerative drinks all around!☕🍺 From Oatly coffee tastings to Patagonia Provisions kernza beer - climate action never tasted so good! [𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀] 𝟭. 𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆: Kevin Muno from Perennial Pastures Ranch nailed it "𝘞𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘴𝘦𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘶𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴". I second this and would add that SOC is a key part of the nutrient density + availability conversation! 𝟮.𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗮𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗪𝗮𝘆: Jean-Christophe Flatin and Julie Kunen emphasized the importance of humility (none of us invented #RegenAg), clear definitions + expectations, and the inclusion of key yet oft-overlooked stakeholders (i.e. millers) on the regen journey. This is "a way" I can 100% get behind and look forward to seeing more supply chains adopt. 𝟯. 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗔𝗴: Barry Parkin from Mars highlighted their commitment to transitioning 1M acres to regenerative. Currently approx. 12% of #GlobalAg is regen and with the current increase of only a 1% per annum we need to speed things up, rapidly! 𝟰. 𝗞𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘇𝗮 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗹: Patagonia Provisions, The Land Institute and Deschutes Brewery are doing some incredibly exciting work with this amazing grain. Drum roll for the 12 ft root structure 😲 Sometimes climate resilience can be (somewhat) simple; Keep living roots in the ground, to deeper depths and for longer periods of time (ideally perennially). 𝟱. 𝗔 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 from the esteemed Wes Jackson , courtesy of Perennial Film's new short #BeerSavesTheWorld --> "𝘐𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦, 𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘪𝘨 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩!" 🙌 Today has reignited my passion to keep thinking big, continue collaborating with out-of-the-box thinkers and enjoying a few sustainable brews along the way! 🌍 #NYCW #ClimateAction #SustainableFood #RegenerativeAgriculture #SoilOrganicCarbon #NutrientDensity

We’re excited to announce the launch of two certified organic beers that are bright, crisp and wildly drinkable: Patagonia Provisions x Deschutes Brewery Kernza® Lager and Non-Alcoholic Kernza® Golden Brew, which is the first certified organic non-alcoholic craft beer brewed in the United States! Our shared mission with Patagonia Provisions is to shift the brewing industry toward more responsible practices, aiming to expand the use of Regenerative Organic Certified® (ROC™) and organic ingredients in beer. These practices can enhance economic stability for farmers and reduce dependency on costly synthetic inputs, all the while rebuilding damaged soil. Both brews are made with organic Kernza® (a soil-saving, carbon-capturing perennial grain), certified organic hops, certified organic malted 2-row barley, and Regenerative Organic Certified® rye. The ingredients are grown in ways that improve soil health, minimize erosion, preserve biodiversity and protect waterways. In other words, they’re radically responsible! We'd like to extend a special thanks to our ingredient suppliers and farmers: Mad Agriculture & Perennial Promise Growers Cooperative, Admiral Maltings, Briess Malt & Ingredients Co., Roy Farms, Hopsteiner, and Imperial Yeast. Visit the beer finder on our website to find them near you and let us know what you think!  https://lnkd.in/gexpDFky
