Introducing: A modern revival produced by House of Finn Juhl - OneCollection. Danish designer Finn Juhl thought his new lounge chair – originally named SW 86 – would be a hit overseas, so in 1951 he sent a drawing of it to Michigan-based manufacturer Baker Furniture. The design captivated American audiences and the attention of Mary Ellen Kettelhut, who owns Juhl's original watercolor drawing and inspired its new name. Proof that inspiration comes from many places. For Mies van der Rohe, modern architecture informed his 1929 Tugendhat Chair from Knoll, but Italian designers Achille Castiglioni and Pier Giacomo found an unconventional source of inspiration.
