From parks to high-tech innovation centers, Detroit is rising with new energy. The DLBA’s work in transforming vacant properties is driving neighborhood revitalization, creating space for new homes, businesses, and green areas. With a boost in property values and renewed community pride, the city is turning once-abandoned spaces into opportunities. Together, we’re building a brighter Detroit! Detroit is really about that action when we say we’re buying the block! King Yadee was highlighted in Mayor Mike Duggan's 2021 State of the City Address for his astounding efforts to rehab properties on his childhood block while also training youth in the neighborhood. Detroit Land Bank Authority has made it possible for individuals such as King Yadee to make solid investments into their communities AND build generational wealth!
