Tomorrow is International Women’s Day! After last year celebrating our own international woman, Shruti Trivedi, this year we would like to “shout out” a few of the great women with whom we have had the pleasure of working during our first year. In no particular order… Lesley Spencer PCC , FCA, whose expert guiding hand has been invaluable as we put our vision into place; Verity Woods 🙏, whose energy and passion demonstrated at BASE 51 never ceases to astound; Angela Petty, whose knowledge, care and attention to detail is a credit to Botham Accounting; Megan Wilson MRTPI CIHCM, whose determination to achieve results for a mutual client has helped us achieve a big step towards success this week; Denise Knipe, MD of Aspbury Planning Ltd., like us a small firm that punches above its weight and shares our collaborative ethos; Carrie Booth, whose relentlessness on the BD circuit is bringing great things into BSP Consulting Ltd; Michelle Sacks, whose leadership at Huntingdonshire District Council has raised HDC to a new level and made Huntingdonshire a great location for ethical, sustainable investment. There are of course many, many other brilliant women to be celebrated and there is not the room to credit everyone that we wish to salute, but for us “women’s day” is not just one day of the year and we will continue to celebrate the achievements of our friends, collaborators and colleagues throughout the year, so watch this space! One of the highlights of our social year is the annual British Indian Business Forum (BIBF) dinner, and last night again saw Team Devello Group's now customary table filled with good friends. This year's was another resounding success, with the usual Indian feast for the stomach matched by the feasts for the eyes and ears created by the spectacular Indian-themed decorations and entertainment. Thomas Legal London. This was supplemented by a delicious lunch at "Jikoni" restaurant, giving Shruti fond memories of Kenya (Jikoni meaning "kitchen" in Swahili)! Shruti Trivedi enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Lincoln City Foundation Gala Dinner last night. Inspirational to see the depth and breadth of the incredible work the Foundation does and how many lives and communities it impacts.
