We are proud to announce that ALM and The National Law Journal named DiCello Levitt as its Civil Rights Law Firm of the Year at the Elite Trial Lawyers awards ceremony last Thursday in New York City. And we are equally grateful to receive this recognition in the month marking the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.   "We are honored to be recognized by NLJ as the top law firm this year in the civil rights field," said Diandra "Fu" Debrosse, co-chair of both the Mass Tort Litigation and Civil and Human Rights Litigation practice groups and the Birmingham office managing partner. "As the co-chair of our civil rights practice, alongside Bobby DiCello, I believe that our firm's diverse expertise and passion allow our lawyers to address civil rights abuses in cutting-edge manners to truly bring justice to those who have been harmed."   This award follows a year in which our attorneys remained at the forefront of efforts to advance the cause of justice for individuals and communities, including our advocacy for the families of seven of the individuals killed, and others who were injured, in the May 2022 racially motivated mass shooting in a Tops Supermarket in Buffalo, New York, and for numerous victims of police shootings, brutality, and misconduct and other abuses of civil rights.   We congratulate our civil rights team for the essential work they accomplish day in and day out. Our attorney team includes Mark DiCello, Diandra "Fu" Debrosse, Bobby DiCello, Ken Abbarno, Mark Abramowitz, Eli Hare, Justin Hawal, Sara Aguiñiga, Rachel Bussett, Peter Soldato, Justin Abbarno, Elton H. Darby III, Éviealle Dawkins, Joe Fouché III, Joseph Frate, Jordyn Parks, Matthew Stombaugh, and Grant Patterson. To read more, visit: https://bit.ly/3zImCQ1

DiCello Levitt Partner Gregory Asciolla, chair of our Antitrust and Competition Litigation Practice Group and managing partner of our New York office, has been appointed Co-Lead Counsel in a groundbreaking nationwide antitrust class action against leading tire manufacturers. Last week, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio named Greg End-Payor Plaintiffs' Interim Co-Lead Counsel in this significant multidistrict litigation.   DiCello Levitt initiated this class action in February 2024, alleging that major tire manufacturers, including Continental, Goodyear, Bridgestone, Michelin, and Pirelli, conspired to inflate the prices of replacement tires for passenger vehicles, vans, trucks, and buses. Our complaint noted a concerning 21.4% increase in tire prices in 2021 and 2022 alone, far exceeding core inflation.   "The alleged conspiracy to raise prices of replacement tires forced consumers to pay considerably higher prices for their tires—a purchase vehicle owners usually can't afford to postpone due to imminent safety concerns," said Greg.   To learn more about how this case represents a pivotal moment in antitrust enforcement and consumer protection, read more: https://bit.ly/4bA3mS9
