Are you wondering how the current economic landscape is affecting donor behavior? With the year-end giving season just around the corner and 2025 on the horizon, understanding your donors' views has never been more important. At DickersonBakker, we take a deep dive into these insights by directly engaging with donors through our annual Donor Insight Study. This year, we invite your organization to be part of it! Join us and other nonprofits as we explore the key trends shaping giving in 2024. Here’s the exciting part: When your organization gathers at least 100 donor responses, you'll receive an exclusive, tailored report packed with valuable insights just for you. Brennan Waitt has been part of the team for nearly two years and we are so lucky to have him. Brennan's role is Data Systems Manager, primarily creating in-depth analysis on client's data to pull the best insights from it. He describes the culture at DickersonBakker to be incredibly uplifting, friendly, and welcoming. Of all the things Brennan has had the opportunity to work on, he's incredibly proud of his ability to make systems easier to work with. He often finds himself finding easier ways to do things and optimizing systems that save time in the long-run. Brennan finds his inspiration from his wife saying she is the most hard-working and motivated person he's ever met. A night-owl, Brennan is most productive in the late-afternoon and evenings. Once he's done with work for the day, Brennan enjoys spending time with family, rock climbing and playing video games. One day, Brennan hopes to travel to Banff National Park. Brennan, you serve our firm in a multitude of ways and we are beyond thankful to have you on the team! #DickersonBakker #data #systems #process

Today, we're thrilled to introduce John Maguire, Director of Operations, Fundraising Solutions. John joined the team nearly one year ago, and his contributions have created ripple effects throughout the firm. As Director of Operations, John's role includes process improvement and optimization, budget and financial management, and system integration. John is most productive in the mornings, after his prayers and coffee, and also in the afternoon after he has time to get a workout in. A fun fact about John is that in 1981, he ranked 11th nationally in Men's Division A Racquetball. Outside of work, John enjoys co-leading men's ministry at his church, volunteering as a counselor at Hope Ministries, and working out. Next on his travel bucket list is The Ozarks! We're lucky to work with you, John! #DickersonBakker #operations #service #ministry

This Monday, we're excited to introduce Sandy Sholl Fite, Director of Administration for Cargill Associates, a division of DickersonBakker. Sandy has been with the firm for two and a half years and we are blessed to work with her every day! As a project manager, her main tasks include managing timelines, formatting and customizing documents, scheduling meetings and being the main point of contact for our consultants and clients. One of the reasons Sandy enjoys working at DickersonBakker is the culture. She describes it as "an environment where employees can thrive and grow both professionally and personally." Of all the projects Sandy has had a hand in facilitating, the one she's most proud of is organizing and streamlining the entire process of launching the new Cargill church campaigns. Sandy finds her daily inspiration from her 96 year old dad! A fun fact about Sandy is that she can play "Stairway to Heaven" on the guitar. Finally, the next place on her travel bucket list is wildlife viewing in Botswana or Kenya. We are beyond thankful for all the incredible work Sandy does each and every day to ensure everything runs smoothly for both our consultants and clients. Let's leave some love for Sandy in the comments below! #dickersonbakker #teamspotlight #hardwork #determined

Take a listen to what two of DickersonBakker's best and brightest have to say about media and public relations for nonprofits. Andrew Olsen Jessica Marsh
You have a story to tell... Often nonprofit orgs tell me that they're afraid to go to the media because their story isn't "relevant" during times of major news stories like the presidential race, global wars, economic downturns, etc. But that's not necessarily true. Check out what my friend and colleague Jessica Marsh has to say about how your cause can capture hearts and minds through strategic media relations and public relations. And be on the lookout for our full podcast conversation on nonprofit PR next week!

Thrilled to share that I've been selected as a judge for this year's International Echo Awards, celebrating data-inspired creative that drives results. As a "kid" growing up in the agency world many years ago in an Omnicom shop, I was always enamored with the buzz around the ECHO's. Not because they're an awards show (awards are great, don't get me wrong). Not because of the recognition (that's great too, but it's not enough). Because the ECHO's represent the work that works best to change behavior. And that's what this is all about. It's about creating great work that drives change in the world. I'm excited to represent DickersonBakker in this year's judging. And I'm really looking forward to seeing the amazing campaigns that brilliant people have created to drive growth for businesses and causes all around the world.
