Like X (formerly Twitter), Threads is a more fast-paced social media platform than Instagram, Facebook, etc. It also requires content to be shorter and, typically, more conversational or casual. If a brand is NOT ready to 1) post on Threads daily, 2) establish a very clear brand voice, and 3) respond quickly to any users engaging with the brand’s content, that brand should hold off using Threads for now. Threads is the youngest of the big social media platforms, and that means brands, individuals, and the Thread developers themselves are all trying to figure out how to best use it. So far, Threads has been the platform for brands to be a little bit more casual with their followers and less curated. While you can post pictures, each Thread is more about the text (like a Tweet) and is more ephemeral than a Post (more along the lines of a Story).
