A huge thank you to a dedicated group of volunteers who recently came together at 33 Gough Street. Their hard work has created a more welcoming and vibrant community for our residents, from cleaning and decorating for Halloween to planting an edible garden. We believe in the power of community and are incredibly grateful for the time and energy these volunteers put into making 33 Gough feel even more like home. Thank you for helping us create spaces where dignity thrives.

Every open door represents a fresh start. Our private rooms are designed to offer safety, comfort, and privacy for those transitioning out of homelessness. Each room includes a bed, desk, heating/AC, and—most importantly—a lockable door, ensuring dignity and peace of mind. For many, this is the first private room in years. It’s more than a room—it’s a second chance. We believe everyone deserves a dignified place to call home. 📣 News Alert! We are proud to share a compelling editorial from our founder and CEO, Elizabeth Funk, published in this past Sunday’s San Francisco Chronicle. In the piece, Elizabeth tackles California’s unsheltered homelessness crisis and explains why interim housing is the essential solution we need now. Elizabeth also outlines the urgent need for dignified, cost-effective interim housing solutions that bring people indoors quickly. The data is clear: interim housing costs significantly less than the alternative and saves lives in the process. 🏠💡 With the success of interim housing models in cities like San Jose, we have a path forward. It’s time for California to act with the urgency this crisis demands. We’re grateful to the San Francisco Chronicle for spotlighting this critical issue and helping us continue the conversation around practical, compassionate solutions. ⬇ Read the full article at the link in comments to learn how interim housing can transform lives and communities.

At DignityMoves, we focus on addressing unsheltered homelessness, which is the most visible and inhumane. We're driving innovative solutions and interim housing communities that can be built fast, cost-effectively, and at a scale that can meet demand.
