Please join us in congratulating Lexington litigator Cassie Carter, who was recently recognized by Legal Aid of the Bluegrass and the Fayette County Bar Association’s Pro Bono Board for exceptional dedication to pro bono projects. The organizations also commended the Firm’s commitment to ongoing initiatives. When announcing the award, LABG said, “Cassie has always been excited to recruit for our expungement clinics and is usually able to get several Dinsmore attorneys to commit to helping. Dinsmore’s efforts to participate in our pro bono projects are truly commendable, and this recognition [highlights] their significant contributions.” The Friend of the Pro Bono award was presented during LABG’s annual “Suits That Rock” fundraiser, where attorneys, judges and others in the local legal community channel their inner rockstar and perform songs.

Dinsmore was proud to be the Gold Sponsor of the Children's Law Center’s annual Boots, Bourbon & Biscuit Brunch. Dinsmore litigation attorney Kyle Bunnell serves on the Board and as CLC’s Fundraising Chair.    CLC celebrated its 35th anniversary this year. For more than three decades, it has remained committed to providing individual legal advocacy to children and youth, through public policy work, training and education, impact litigation and juvenile defender support services throughout Kentucky and Ohio. This year’s event raised over $81,000 for children in Kentucky and Ohio. Kyle donned his boots and attended the event with his family – and, as pictured, his son was a big fan of the live music.

The attorneys and business professionals in Dinsmore’s Cincinnati and Covington, Ky. offices had an incredibly busy day volunteering with several local organizations for their Dinsmore Day of Service. At Matthew 25: Ministries, teams worked to sort supplies in the processing center. The organization works to deliver meals, building materials and cleaning products to disaster victims. A second team helped with organizing donations and pantry spaces at Welcome House, Inc., an organization that provides a variety of services to those experiencing homelessness or housing uncertainty. Other teams visited The Freestore Foodbank locations to help with bagging groceries, restocking shelves and helping customers check out their orders. Finally, at Brighton Center, volunteers spent time with both children and seniors by playing games and doing other activities, reading and simply visiting with them. Thank you to all of these organizations for the work you do to make a difference in the community!
