This week, right after HIMSS in Vegas, Shibu Basheer and I travelled to Milwaukee, WI to meet with Direct Supply at their Tech Center in Downtown Milwaukee. And it turned out to be quite an eye opener in terms of the innovations that team DS is coming up with in Senior living. The building itself is an testimony of the ideals and values that DS is trying to promote, innovation at every step of the way. The Tech center is surrounded by the School of Engineering and the offices feel part of the School , with classrooms and cafes included in it and with the innovation lab right next to it ! Our discussions circled around how tech can help with improving the care for the senior community and with the Grey Tsunami, fast approaching, tech is the only way to deliver high quality service to the ageing population. Apart from cost reductions, tech is also used to improve the quality of care and life at Senior homes.
