May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Did you know that DFL offers FREE Mental Health First Aid classes to our community? This training is crucial and saves lives. Participants will become certified in Mental Health First Aid and will be able to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness as they encounter them in their everyday lives. We have open spots available in our upcoming Youth Mental Health First Aid classes on June 14 and July 19, and for our Adult Mental Health First Aid classes on July 12 and August 9. Visit https://lnkd.in/dME7xwr for more information and to register today.

We have 6 families left that are waiting to be adopted for the holidays this year, and we're hoping you can help! Check out our Adopt a Family page, filled with wish lists that came straight from the kids themselves. https://lnkd.in/gpD_q_q5 We also want to give a huge shoutout to all of our donors that donated to our Holiday Reserve Fund when they adopted their family! We were able to shop for 5 families this week that came through last minute, and we couldn't have done it without you!

Many of our families have a hard time making the holidays special for their children, and it’s been another tough year for a lot of them. We need your help bringing the holiday magic to life for these sweet kids! We are excited to announce that we’re bringing back DFL’s Holiday Adopt-a-Family program. This program identifies children and families we serve who could use some help granting their holiday wishes. Check out our Adopt-a-Family page, filled with wish lists that came straight from the kids themselves! https://lnkd.in/eJGV-Vyz
