When you arrive and park in Lot C please use the Seatgeek Southeast Gate to enter the ballpark. The entrance is off of Stadium Drive. There will be DISE branded signs to direct you to the correct expedited check-in line to scan your tickets. Once inside, there are additional signs directing you to the meetings room where the panel will be hosted. Congratulations to Dallas Cowboys veteran defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence on his nomination for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award! He has made a huge impact on the Dallas community over the course of his career, particularly with local youth. To honor his contributions, DeMarcus Lawrence was the recipient of the Heart of Dallas Award at our Fast Pitch event in 2020. It is given to a local athlete who goes beyond making an impact on the field and also makes a positive difference in our community. A local charitable beneficiary received a $10,000 grant in his name.

We’re back! Last week, as our first official act with our newly elected executive board, DISE joined Nancy Lieberman Charities at Old East Dallas Work Yard Park for the official unveiling of a Dream Court, which we funded with the Heart of Dallas award grant presented during Fast Pitch in 2021. We’re proud to see this project come to fruition and how the partnership between Dallas Parks & Recreation and the Dallas Police Department continues to strengthen our local community and create safe, accessible places for kids to play sports.   The new DISE executive team is Caitlin Morgan (DLA Piper) as President; Channing Butler (Connect Partnership Group) as Vice President; Julianne Pau (Ayyad), CPA (AAC) as Treasurer; and Lauren Allison (Multiplier) as Secretary.   Other returning board members include: Kern Egan (Multiplier) as Board Chair, as well as Brian Loftus (CAA), Breon D. (Southland Conference), Todd Krumholz (JTK Talent), Paige Scott Jimenez (Multiplier), Kathryne Buckley-Tessem (Sports Leadership Institute), Chelsea Livingston (Dallas Stars), Kenny Bunch (Dallas Mavericks), and Amanda Larder (Tony Fay PR). We have some exciting plans in the works…more to come on events and membership in 2024!
