    The latest trend in any industry right now it implementation of AI to streamline processes and product development. This is an ever-evolving capability that is only bound by permissions. Giving AI the keys to your business could lead to greatness at an amazing pace. I could also lead to abject failure. Since the implementation of software the inputs and outputs need to be clearly defined. Particular attention must be paid to the inputs because AI might be "smart" but it is not yet smart enough to overcome the fundamental principal in software of Garbage In/Garbage Out. Just like any tool, you have to learn how to use it before you can use it at a professional level.

  • Cronyism is nepotism. It is bias. It is prejudice. Developing the “who you know” more than the “what you know” is the basis for a confidence scheme. Having friends in influential positions provides the opportunity to earn something by showcasing what you bring to the table. Having friends is not a skill. Your friend list can be easily replaced by a cold call and solid proposal. Be more than friend list deep. If you lack skills, go out and train. If you have skills, go out and train. Bottom line is decide to be more than you were at the start of the day. Dare to divergineer yourself and your future.

  • Progress is not developing new and "better" systems for the sake of development and integrating them into operations without real consideration for it's efficacy. Progress is increasing capability. The newest and best baseball bat cannot be used as a hockey stick. Environmental influences like rules and regulations prohibit baseball bat use in hockey but most of all the bat lacks the breadth of utility the hockey stick provides.   • Tone of voice is a wild weapon if used incorrectly. Tone of voice pertains to both written and spoken communication. Word choice and sentence structure determine written tone. Spoken tone of voice takes word choice and sentence structure and combines it with verbal and nonverbal communication to create the complete message. There are a lot of people these days that do not understand this simple concept of verbals and nonverbals having such a large impact on their message. I think it is because face-to-face communication is avoided in favor of texting, tweeting, blogging, or emailing. Written communication is important and is the most official and persistent medium, but it can be cumbersome and cold for interpersonal communication. Being able to communicate effectively with speech is paramount to success in any business. Effective speech is engaging in subject and delivery. Tone of voice has everything to do with delivery. A monotone speaker can lose their audience to the dream world no matter what the subject is. Erratic tone can lose an audience to confusion no matter how simple the subject. So, get out there and talk to people. It will make you more confident and successful.

  • As this company grows and starts to bring on people an emphasis on individual growth will be front and center to the charter. The individuals that make up your company are everything so advocating for their growth through training and education will payoff for the company in the end. The hard part isn’t providing them the opportunity for that growth. The hard part is growing their position within the company to keep pace with their new capabilities. You have to figure out how to keep the people you grow or you’ll be constantly starting over with new people. Invest profits in your people before you invest in your company.
