❤ September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month! ❤ This summer, I’ve been clocking miles in preparation for the #MarineCorpsMarathon2024. In 7 weeks, I’ll be running "The People's Marathon" in the nation's capital in support of DKMS US. #DKMS is one of the largest bone marrow and stem cell donor registries in the world, providing life-saving transplants to blood cancer patients of all ages. For many, these transplants are the best, and sometimes only, chance for a long-term remission and cure. This cause is particularly close to my heart as I begin my research fellowship at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and run in memory of my uncle, who lost his battle to multiple myeloma in 2015. With 51 days to go, I'm immensely grateful to everyone who has supported me so far — bringing me close to my fundraising goal of $2,000.
