Root’d Oakland is a multifaceted cannabis company that operates a state-of-the-art dispensary, produces its own in-house line of products, and runs an onsite community events venue. We engaged with their investment and operations teams early, creating their brand identity, including naming, from the ground up. We began with a thorough discovery phase that led to a brand strategy framework that would inform all the creative work needed to launch the brand. They needed something capable of scale, applicable across multiple offerings, and easy to implement and update to support ongoing needs. We developed the core identity elements, a flexible messaging framework, guidelines, packaging, and example marketing materials that checked every box. Platypus flossers are specifically designed for people who have braces. This playful brand was in need of a brighter identity that better expressed the joy of a big, vibrant smile.
