🎉 Celebrating Leigh Curry’s Legacy as ILTA President 🎉 We’re thrilled to reflect on G. Leigh Curry’s influential tenure as President of the Illinois Land Title Association for 2023-2024. To honor Leigh’s exceptional achievements and unwavering dedication, we’ve created a special video that highlights his remarkable journey and the milestones he’s reached. Leigh's involvement with ILTA began in 2015, and since then, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the organization. From serving as Co-Chair of the Legislative Committee to leading the ILTA Blockchain Committee in 2017, his journey continued with a seat on the Board of Directors in 2018. Leigh’s leadership flourished as he took on the role of 2nd VP in 2021 and ultimately became ILTA President. During Leigh’s term as President, ILTA established two new vital committees, the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Acceptance (IDEA) Committee and the Fraud Squad, with both committees addressing major topics facing the title industry today. Leigh’s impact has been profound, tackling key industry issues, spearheading law changes, and providing vital regulatory updates. His advocacy efforts on matters such as NTRAPS, DS1 regulatory actions, and improved governmental relations have set a new benchmark for excellence. Under his guidance, the ILTA Board of Directors also completed a comprehensive rewrite of the ILTA bylaws and established bylaws for the ILTA PAC. Leigh has tirelessly supported both current and prospective agents, fostering innovation and growth within ILTA. Earlier this month, Leigh passed the torch to Scott LeClere, COO of Wheatland Title Company in Aurora, IL. We have every confidence that under Scott’s leadership, ILTA will continue to flourish and adapt to new challenges. A heartfelt thank you to Leigh for his visionary #leadership and dedication.
