Last week, we were thrilled to host a wonderful #ClimateWeekNYC event on behalf of Nature Action 100. Bringing together investors, policymakers, NGOs, and experts, the event underscored the importance of collaborative engagement and the crucial role of the private sector in achieving global goals to reverse nature and biodiversity loss. As global temperatures rise and cities become overheated, it is necessary to find solutions to make cities cooler and more liveable. Reducing traffic, planting trees, and rooftop farming can help. Another solution is to plant mini forests or pocket forests, also known as Miyawaki forests. They grow quickly and can help reduce temperatures while bringing back native plants and biodiversity. We recently organized a tour of the first Miyawaki forest in the Northeast to learn firsthand from the organization behind this great initiative.
