If you’re looking to make real change in your life, whether that’s reaching a personal goal, mastering a skill, or breaking an old habit... ...it’s not as simple as it seems. Real change is challenging. And let’s be honest: life isn’t a walk in the park, either. If it’s not today’s problem, there’s another around the corner. Here’s what I’ve seen make all the difference in keeping that hunger to move forward, no matter what: 1. Invest in You Make the time to work on yourself. Dive deep into developing who you are and leveling up. Focus on the areas that fuel your growth. 2. Master Your Mindset Negative self-talk? It’s there, always. Recognize it and start reframing it. Real change starts by conquering the dialogue inside. 3. Commit to Self-Belief Show up each day believing in your ability, your goals, and your vision. Selling yourself on your potential builds a foundation that carries you through setbacks. 4. Build Resilience True hunger means having the courage to keep going, even after failure. If you’re passionate, don’t let the fear of starting over stop you. 5. Set High Standards Don’t settle for mediocrity. Excellence is about being the best you can be, and that mindset shows in everything you do. 6. Value Every Moment If you have a goal, start chipping away at it—even a few minutes every day. Momentum builds when each day matters. 7. Keep Your Word Integrity is key. Honoring your word—especially to yourself—sets the tone for everything else. Follow through on your promises to yourself. 8. Focus, Focus, Focus Eliminate distractions. When all your energy is in one area, you’ll be amazed at what you can achieve and the opportunities that appear. 9. Develop Your Unique Gifts If you hone in on what you’re naturally good at, the possibilities are limitless. Your strengths will take you places you haven’t even imagined yet. 10. Master Your Craft Commit to lifelong learning. Become so knowledgeable that people think of you first when it comes to your skill. Want to be in the top 5%? Read, learn, and put in the work. At the end of the day, growth is an ongoing journey. If you keep showing up for yourself and honing your craft, the results will follow. One of the reasons I push video so hard for growing personal brands and generating inbound leads is simple… …eyes earn trust. If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ve seen my videos and watched as my clients use video content to build stronger connections. Video has been a staple in our strategies for years, and here’s why—it builds trust. In business, trust is the foundation for any meaningful connection. Outside of face-to-face meetings, nothing beats the power of video for creating authentic relationships. People want to see you, hear you, and feel like they know you—and that’s where video excels. Key Principles of ‘Eyes Earn Trust’: 1. Serve First – Lead with value. Your videos should focus on your audience’s pain points and offer real solutions. Don’t just pitch—serve. 2. Personal Connection – Let your audience see who you are. Share stories, experiences, and insights that they can relate to. Authenticity always wins. 3. Be Consistent – Consistency builds familiarity. Regular video content keeps you top of mind and shows your audience that you’re invested in their success. Why Video Marketing Works: • 80% of businesses use video in their marketing, and 93% of those say video improves customer understanding. • Video content is shared 40x more on social media than other types of content. • Including a video on a landing page can boost conversion rates by 80%. Bottom Line: If you’re not leveraging video in your marketing strategy, you’re missing a huge opportunity to build trust and drive business growth. So, how are you using video to build trust with your audience? Drop your thoughts below! (Photo below is from 13 years ago, I don’t even recognize that man but I am glad he was willing to push through all his doubt and limiting beliefs)

Recruitment is noisy. Everyone’s competing for attention. But if you really want to stand out, here’s the deal: You need to become the go-to expert in your niche, a micro-influencer who’s got the authority factor. I’m not talking about being “Insta-famous” here. I’m talking about building real influence that leads to quality clients, better candidates, and stronger engagement. Here’s why becoming a micro-influencer in recruitment matters: 1. Specialized Expertise: When you focus on a specific sector, people know you as the person to go to. You build trust, and higher-quality clients and candidates start seeking you out for your knowledge. 2. Trust That Drives Decisions: As a micro-influencer, your opinions have weight. When people trust you, they’re way more likely to engage with your agency and rely on your guidance. 3. Better Engagement: When you’re seen as an authority, your posts, articles, and insights resonate with your audience. People start conversations, ask questions, and actually listen. So how do you make it happen? Share real value: Post insights, trends, and tips that educate and add value to your audience. Engage with your community: Don’t just post and ghost. Jump into the conversation, answer questions, and be present. Collaborate: Work with others in your niche who are making waves. It’s a great way to build credibility and expand your reach. Bottom line: Building authority as a micro-influencer isn’t about having the most followers. It’s about positioning yourself as the trusted expert in your space. Do this, and you’ll see real opportunities start showing up.

Little things create big things. One reason I love football and entrepreneurship is how similar they are when it comes to the importance of the little things. In both arenas, focusing on the small details drives the big outcomes we all want. In football, the repetition—studying your opponent, nailing your alignment, assignments, footwork, and hand placement—sets you up to make game-changing plays. A solid tackle, a perfect throw, a clutch defensive stop—all of these are built on doing the small things right. Do that consistently and you win the game. In business, it’s no different. It’s about having a clear plan, understanding your market inside and out, and executing consistently every day. It’s not always about swinging for the fences; it’s about putting in the daily work that leads to big results, like securing new clients or making critical placements. Right now, more than ever is the time to double down on those little things. With the upcoming election, a lot of people will be distracted. They’ll take their foot off the gas, convincing themselves that stressing over the election results will somehow change the outcome. But here’s the truth—there’s another group of people who will keep their heads down and stay focused on what they can control. They’ll continue to do the little things, driving forward while others get caught up in noise they can’t influence. Be the person who stays focused. Be the leader who refuses to get swept up in the distractions, and instead, leads their team to focus on what matters. Stay dialed in on the details, double down on the fundamentals, and when everyone else looks up after the election, you’ll be miles ahead. (Here’s a pic with my friend/client, Keva Dine, and her son, from a recent trip to San Jose. It's truly rewarding to travel with the Nevada football team and connect with clients and friends along the way. The team isn't exactly where we want to be yet, but we'll keep stacking up the little things, and the breakthrough is coming.)

What a weekend… After knowing Renee Frey for over 6 years now, I finally had the chance to meet her in person. From catching up to enjoying a little friendly competition, it was a day to remember. Now, I’ll admit, her team came out on top as the Vikings beat my Niners, and my Wolf Pack took a tough loss against the Gophers, but despite the setbacks, the best part was spending time with incredible people. Big thanks to Renee and her husband Dustin for an awesome Sunday full of great memories! Life has been working for me recently and this weekend was more evidence of that. Now back to work!

Couldn't be more proud of my team at Ora Marketing. I’m surrounded by a bunch of badass boss women (Alexis Albright Meschi Erica Carroll Selina T. Kasel Supnet JM Roque and Maybelline Seraspi) and like many businesses, these last few months have been a grind for us. The market’s been unpredictable, and it’s forced us to grow not just as a company but as individuals. And I couldn’t be more proud of how every single one of our team members has stepped up. We've adjusted pricing models, revamped delivery processes, streamlined workflows, improved our product—and now, everything is starting to come together like a well-oiled machine. One of our core values at ORA Marketing is simple: Find a way to find a way. That means no matter the challenge, we find a way to win. We find a way to get the job done, to bring in new clients, to deliver on time, and to go above and beyond in impressing our clients. And over these last few months, this team has found a way to thrive in one of the toughest markets we’ve seen. So here’s to the absolute rockstars I get to call my team. You’ve crushed it, and I couldn’t be more grateful to be on this journey with you.
